Creating Mood Boards with Adobe Indesign
By Skillshare
In this class, I will show you how to create a Mood Board in Adobe Indesign.
First off:
What is a Mood Board and what do you use it for?
A Mood Board is a collection of images that helps you to define and express the vision you have for a project. The project could be a visual identity you create for a new brand, an interior design project, an event you’re planning, a fashion line etc.
This course is suited for beginners. Anyone who wants to share their vision for a project with someone else can benefit from it. Even if you already have some design experience you might enjoy this course and pick up a thing or two.
What are we going to cover in this course?
– Mood Board examples + use cases
– Defining key values / key words
– Sourcing images
– Set up Indesign file in A3 including a grid
– Most important tools and commands
– Import images into Indesign and make a selection
– Create two kinds of layouts
– Export PDF
– Package file
– Relink missing images
In this course, we’ll mainly look at tools that are needed for this specific project. However, if you are an absolute beginner and want to get an in-depth introduction into Indesign, have a look at my class ‘Indesign Foundation for Print and Editorial Design’. In chapters 3 to 10, you’ll find everything you’ll need to know.
I’ll be working with Adobe Indesign CC 2020, but you’ll also be able to follow the class with a different version of Indesign.
